House Tutor’s Terms of Service

You must take the time to read and understand it before registering for the House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore services. By registering, you accept that you are entering into a contract with us based on these Terms and Conditions. Visitors to the House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore services who do not register to become a member similarly affirm that they are bound by these terms and conditions each time they access the House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore services.

• The use of the website by a tutor, parent or student shall be deemed acceptance of and agreement to these Terms.
• The Website has been established to allow students or parents to contact tutors and to view their profiles detailing a tutor's experience and vice versa.
• House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of tutors, parents and students secure but will not be liable for unauthorised access to the information provided by tutors and students.
• A tutor warrants that he is of at least eighteen years of age, has the necessary qualifications and/or experience to provide tuition in the subjects specified by the tutor on the website.
• We do not recommend any tutors to students, nor are the tutors our employees. We only provide a facility for tutors to advertise their services. It is the tutor’s and student's responsibility to comply with local laws and regulations.
• A tutor also warrants that he / she should abide all local laws in Singapore before taking up any tutor jobs.
• A tutor acknowledges that he is not an employee of House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore and accepts full responsibility for all income tax and other liabilities payable in relation to any fees generated from a tuition contract.
• A tutor, parent or student shall indemnify House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore from all claim liabilities costs and expenses (actual or consequential) of every kind and nature known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected disclosed and undisclosed arising out of any use of the Website.
• A tutor shall accept full responsibility for the prices quoted for his services on the website and for collection of all fees due to the tutor from any student or parent after the first month.
• A tutor accepts full responsibility for all information published by him on the website and shall indemnify House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore in relation to any liability incurred by them as a result of such information.
• Payment [50% of first month fees only] made via credit card / paypal must be made upon hiring tutor and then the tutor’s details will be issued to the parent together with the detail of the engagement.
• Upon completion of the 1^st session of the tuition assignment, parents are required to confirm the tutors attendance on www.housetutor.com.sg.
• Parents are required to make the remaining 50% payment to the tutor upon completion of the first month.
• Tutors are required to collect a signature of endorsement from parent during the first lesson as prove of attendance to be used in the event of a dispute.
• In the event the tutor does not show up, a full refund will be made to the parent via the e-wallet to hire the next tutor.
• House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore will not be responsible for any disputes matters arising out of the context of the tuition engagement between the tutor and the parent or student.
• A tutor shall secure payment from a student or parent for services after the first month. House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore will not assist in any fees recovery.
• A tutor undertakes to register for the House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore services using accurate and current information about him / her - including his / her correct name, address, telephone number, qualifications and any other requested details. A tutor understands details entered by the tutor on the website will be publicly visible and may appear in search engine results.
• Student or parent acknowledges that it is his or her responsibility to verify the credentials and qualifications of any tutor with whom he enters into or proposes to enter into a tuition contract.
• The members acknowledge that House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore may use data for statistical analysis and may provide this to interested third parties.
• The members acknowledge that House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore will monitor postings to the website and communications via the website and have the right to delete and/or block such postings or communications.
• The members warrant that their e-mail and other contact addresses are valid and up to date when using the website.
• Members agree not to impersonate any other person or entity or to use a false name or a name that they have no authority to use.
• Members acknowledge that House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore is not liable for direct indirect consequential or any other form of loss or damage that may be suffered by a member through the use of the website including loss of data or information or any kind of financial or physical loss or damage.
• Members acknowledge that House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore give no guarantee that the website is free of viruses worms or any other form of harmful components.
• House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore does not guarantee to secure a tutor for a student.
• Privacy policy. House Tutor’s privacy policy forms part of these terms and conditions, and by agreeing to these terms and conditions, you also give your consent to the way we may handle your personal data as detailed in that policy.
• Operation of House Tutor’s services. House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore reserves the right to withdraw or modify aspects of the House Tutor Home Tuition Singapore services, or the entirety of it, where we have legal or commercial reasons to do so.
